        1. Speed Limit Sign – Wentworth Sports Ground Why is there no speed limit for the Wentworth Sports Ground Road Network, where pedestrians compete with speeding motor vehicles? A sensible speed limit sign (road safety strategy) needs to be installed at the entrance to the road network, off Clarence Street, Howrah.

        1. Drone Use Does Council currently own or use a drone and/or use this drone to monitor property compliance matters?
        2. Right to Information Form on Website As with many Clarence City Council’s information and forms, the Application for assessed disclosure form used for people’s rights under the Right to Information Act 2009 isn’t currently accessible to view, download or use as it is on almost all other government division websites. Can Council please include this form in its forms page or better still add an online submittal form, such as the one used to submit this question?

      3. Request to participate in significant Professional Development Training
        • Cr Walker requests to participate in an Australian Institute of Company Directors' Course in September 2025. While he believes the course will help with his direct Council responsibilities, the request is to help with his role as Chair of the Copping Refuse Disposal Site Joint Authority.
      4. Lease to Department for [Education,] Children and Young People (Cambridge Primary School)
        • DECYP have requested to lease an area adjacent to the Cambridge Memorial Oval currently occupied by a pavilion, public toilets, and an amenities building, in order to construct a new gymnasium and outdoor hard court for the School.
        • Officers recommend agreeing on the condition that the gymnasium is available to the community outside school hours. Decision is to post the required notice of intention to lease.
  9. Motions on Notice
    1. Cr Hulme: Right to Information Application – High Performance Centre
        That Council authorises the CEO to:
      1. Make an application under the Right to Information Act 2009 for all information related to the assessments of both the proposed Kingston and Rosny sites for the Tasmania Football Club’s training and administration facility (High Performance Centre);
      2. Otherwise take all necessary action to make an application under the Right to Information Act 2009; and
      3. Release the documents to the public should information be released under the application.
    2. Cr James: Future of Alma's Activities Centre Building
        That Council seek an Officer’s Report on the current state of the Council property at 16 Alma Street, Bellerive and include the following matters:
      1. Provide a current and update of maintenance and ongoing costs of the building(s); and
      2. Ascertain from the private or public sectors to demonstrate short-term or long-term interest in the premises; and
      3. Whether the Heritage Listed building(s) and its current location may attract interest from variety of business and user groups.
      • Extensive CEO notes, the upshot of which: Council is developing a Facilities Strategic Plan, and currently lacks the resources to do a feasibility study specifically about Alma's, but that could be folded into the Plan.
    3. Cr Mulder: Future Extension of Flagstaff Gully Link Road
        That Council resolves to request the Chief Executive Officer to have a report prepared, workshopped with Council and presented at a future Council meeting, to consider:
      1. a future extension of the Flagstaff Gully Link Road; and
      2. an amendment to the Local Provisions Schedule of the Tasmanian Planning Scheme – Clarence to facilitate this extension.

      • Rosny Hill sub-lease negotiations continue, with an update to be provided to Councillors by way of a confidential memo in the next few weeks.
      • The regional hard waste feasibility report will be discussed at the Council workshop on 2 June 2025.
      • Mea culpa re: not looping the Sustainability Committee in on the tyre collection service.
